Chesapeake Public Schools is hiring bus drivers, custodians, school nutrition staff and substitute teachers at a walk-in job fair Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The district announced the One-Stop Job Fair on its website, listing openings across four categories. The event runs from noon to 2 p.m. at the School Administration Building, 1421 Kristina Way, in Chesapeake.
Applicants should bring two forms of identification. Substitute teacher candidates should also bring a copy of their transcripts, according to the announcement.
The district said it offers paid training and no weekend schedules. Full-time, contracted positions come with medical, dental, pharmacy and retirement benefits, according to the posting.
The announcement does not specify which of the four roles qualify as full-time contracted positions.
Residents who cannot attend the fair can apply online through the district's careers website.
Wednesday's event is open to walk-in applicants. No appointment is needed.
